When you use DukaDebt via WhatsApp, we collect:
- Phone number: Your WhatsApp phone number, used to identify your account.
- Shop name: The name you provide during setup.
- Customer names and debt records: Names of your customers and the debt/payment amounts you submit.
- Messages: The text messages you send to our bot, processed to understand your requests.
- Language preference: Your preferred language for communication.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or any data from your device beyond the WhatsApp messages you send us.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Track customer debts and payments as instructed by you.
- Send you summaries, reminders, and reports you request.
- Improve our service and fix technical issues.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate DukaDebt:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): To send and receive WhatsApp messages. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy.
- OpenAI: To process and understand your messages. Messages are sent to OpenAI's API for natural language processing. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models.
- Supabase: To securely store your account and transaction data. Data is hosted in the EU.
- Flutterwave (when applicable): To process subscription payments.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted database connections and access controls. Only authorized systems can access your data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, send "delete account" to the DukaDebt bot, and all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data by messaging the bot ("show all debts").
- Export your data in CSV or PDF format.
- Delete your account and all data at any time.
- Opt out of reminders and communications by sending "STOP".
If you are located in the European Union, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
7. Children's Privacy
DukaDebt is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active users of significant changes via WhatsApp.
